Ingredients
For the Lamb Koftas:

500g lamb mince

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 small red onion, finely grated

1 tsp ground cumin

1 tsp ground coriander

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

Salt & pepper, to taste

Small handful fresh parsley or mint, finely chopped

1 tbsp olive oil (for brushing)
For the Lactose-Free Garlic Yogurt Sauce:

1/2 cup lactose-free Greek-style yogurt
-
1 small garlic clove, finely grated or crushed

Juice of 1/2 lemon
-
1 tbsp olive oil

Salt, to taste
To Serve:

Warm flatbreads or pitta

Shredded lettuce or mixed leaves

Cherry tomatoes, halved

Sliced cucumber
-
Pickled red onions (optional)

Fresh mint or parsley, to garnish
Directions
In a bowl, combine lamb mince, onion, garlic, spices, herbs, salt, and pepper. Mix well (hands work best!). Shape into 8–10 small oval patties or roll onto skewers. Chill in the fridge for 10–15 minutes while you prep everything else.
In a small bowl, whisk together the lactose-free yogurt, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, and a pinch of salt. Set aside in the fridge.
Preheat BBQ or grill to medium-high. Brush koftas with oil and grill for 3–4 minutes per side, or until nicely browned and cooked through.
Serve koftas in warm flatbreads with lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, and a generous drizzle of the garlic yogurt sauce. Garnish with herbs or pickled onions if using.
